If one day, you came up to me with a pair of shoes that were black, hot pink, neon green and solar yellow, then told me to put them on and wear them out in public, I would have given you the raised eyebrow emoji and turned away laughing.
Now, I won’t bullshit you with grandiose stories of how much of a Sneakerhead I am – I’m far from it. But, I do know style and I do know how to stand out while looking clean and sophisticated. And what will pop on the Gram
Not only do these shoes look great with a pair of skinny jeans that have a slight cuff, but they stick with the athletic heritage New Balance is known for. A summer day in shorts or even an odd session in the gym is completely doable with these shoes (however, I wouldn’t do it just because I sweat way too much and don’t want to sour these too fast!)
One of my favourite features is the single mold wrap that makes up the shoe. There is no separate tongue to slide around over time and leave creases for your feet to rub onto. With that being said, the fit of the shoe changes because of this and I am able to wear a size 13 comfortably.
I got the New Balance Canada team to send me size 14 because I have a pair of the 247 Decon’s in a 14, but after trying on both of them, I realized the snugger fit on the 13 works better in this shoe.
So, all you guys out there struggling to find large sized shoes, go into your newest New Balance and try on a smaller size than usual in the 247 family.
