Creating the life you want doesn’t usually just fall into your lap. I thought like that when I first started this goal of mine to be financially independent on social media and online – that if I could just post that one “amazing” photo, I would wake up the next morning and I would have gone viral.
Let me give you a hint… it hasn’t happened!
There may have been an easier path 5-10 years ago when these platform and new source of income was just starting off. But let’s be honest, it’s getting blown wide open now on the reach and influence that can be made in social media. To play the game today, you need to make constant high quality content , over and over and over and over… do I need to go on?
This video was conceptualized by Mike, after we had come across a video posted by Magic Fox . To be honest, it didn’t come out 100% of what we both envisioned the final product to be (but does it ever ?). But looking more and more on it, it is still worth being put out to the public, to give more insight on my brand and hopefully give you that emotional connection with me, in whichever way that may occur.
In general when I think of a piece of content I want to create, the end creation, I want to be able to make an emotional connection with you, the viewer. There are many different areas that I cover that could be an area someone entirely new would find a connection. The more connections I can make on a regular basis, then the bigger the chances are that a random follower can turn into a loyal consumer.
Brock Ohurn / Magic Fox / Jose Lopez are the three main male accounts I pay attention to in the social media world. Each of them has their own strong points and weak points. They are leaps and bounds ahead of me in the game, but as time has passed, our differences don’t seem so jarring. My goal is to be my own entity and forge a whole different path than all three of these men; yet using them as reference points, or as a north star in my journey, has been nothing but positive outcomes thus far.
We all need to set markers of where we want to be, and using people who are successful in your field as a barometer for your own performance is a great approach to finding those places you need to concentrate on.
Lets be honest, this man has set the bar on what can happen from being a no one, to becoming one of the most followed men in the world. And this was all just done via Instagram. He and I are the same height, somewhat same build but at the moment he wins the lushest locks award for that mane he has on his head. His strength I take away from him has actually nothing to do with his content, but how he engages with his followers and his attitude he portrays on social media. Nothing but good times and positive vibes.
Daniel is your standard 5’0 fashion model type ( I’m assuming by gauging his photos ) but he has done it to perfection. The quality of photos with the committed colour trend to make his page look in unison is one major area I focus on, well secondly is his willingness to be photoshoot ready it seems daily. He doesn’t let his 6 pack leave him , no matter the time of the year. Something as simple as an aesthetically pleasing body may sound not important to some, but i see it as hitting a whole other huge market from females to fitness people who don’t care about fashion photos, but respect hard work put into a body.
This the one social media influencer that has the same mindset as me on what platforms are needed to grow in this new age world. While Brock and Magic Fox hit it early and grew with the better algorithms, but have let other platforms slide due to such a large growth in one area. Jose writes blogs , makes videos for youtube , and of course IG. He, like me, was a personal trainer to start and started on this path at some point. Using all these platforms together to push content seems like a no brainer. Each piece of content made can be broken down and added properly to each platform with not much work.
All these guys have so many good areas to want to duplicate, but something I have learnt from my personal training, is that we all are unique and no one exact way of lifting works for ever person in this world. Social media is the same, we have our areas that allow us to show who we really are. Ive hopefully found that at this moment, but I promise it will change just much as the social media market changes.
